THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Surprise IT raids on Mohanlal and Mammootty is all set to have an innocent casualty; Captain C P Krishnan Nair of the Leela group. The high profile release of ‘Krishna Leela’, the autobiography of Captain Krishnan Nair, scheduled to be held at Kovalam on Monday, is all set to be put off, thanks to the raid and the firing by Azhikode that followed.‘’Captain Krishnan Nair was hoping to make it a big event by using the occasion to settle the issues which existed between Azhikode and Mohanlal. As he is very much close to both of them, he thought he could cajole them to bury the hatchet and announce the dawn of a new friendship. But the raid and the spontaneous reaction of Azhikode spoilt the plan,’’ said a source, who is part of the organising team.It has been months since the verbal duel between Lal and Azhikode began. It took an ugly turn with the latter filing a defamation suit against the former in a Thrissur court. Recently, Mohanlal appeared before the court and took bail in the case.‘’While accepting the invitation, I have told Nair that I will attend the function only if I get an unconditional apology from Mohanlal before the function,’’ Sukumar Azhikode told ‘Express’. He said he had to accept the invitation, though conditional, because of his long friendship with Nair. ‘’We were schoolmates and he advised me to dilute my stand on Mohanlal. As I have taken a strong public position and even filed a case, it is not possible,’’ Azhikode said. Azhikode confirmed that he wouldn’t attend the function as long as Mohanlal does not offer a personal apology.
