New Delhi: Addressing a BJP youth rally in Bhubaneswar, BJP president L K Advani said NDA will continue its demand for the formation of joint parliamentary committee (JPC) to investigate on the Volker report.
Advani was in Bhubaneswar to address the Yuva Jagruti Samaves- a rally on Friday.
Although the rally was organised by BJP?s youth wing to strengthen the party's position in Orissa, the BJP leader did not miss the chance to nail the Congress on the Volker issue.
Advani has demanded the JPC to investigate the Volker report should be formed soon.
He said, "I know that Congress will have a majority in the committee, but even then it should be formed."
The Volker scam involves 528 crore of kickbacks and the UPA should not have two separate yardsticks for Natwar Singh and Sonia Gandhi on the matter. "Report names Natwar and the Congress and both should take responsibility," he added.
Advani clarified that the NDA?s intention is never to stall the proceedings of the house for the sake of it and the UPA by alleging this is legitimising the act.
