HYDERABAD: Four persons, who are associated with an organisation allegedly involved in attacks on people belonging to a particular community were arrested on Sunday for conducting a series of similar attacks in Secunderabad a few days ago. With fresh arrest of the four, city police have till date arrested 10 members of the particular organisation for the attacks that started soon after Bakrid. The attacks triggered tension across the city ahead of December 6, observed as Black Day on the anniversary of Babri Masjid demolition. The arrested are residents of Begumpet, Hyderbasti, Chintal and Kacheguda and are all private employees. North Zone DCP Ch Srikanth said the four were involved in attacks reported at Alwal, Trimulgherry and Bowenpally police limits on November 27 and December 13. The four were caught during vehicle checking at Trimulgherry. Cases under Sections 120B (conspiracy), 153A (promoting enmity between two communities), 307 (attempt to murder) and 324 (causing hurt) were registered against them. Srikanth said they will take the accused into police custody to elicit more information about the attacks. “We are also verifying the possible involvement of the accused in attacks reported earlier,” he said. Police also recovered two motorcycles, four mobile phones and a weapon. To avoid further occurrence of such incidents, Srikanth said round-the-clock patrolling has been intensified in areas by Rakshaks, mobile vans and blue colts. Apart from this, regular vehicle checking would be taken up during night at vulnerable places, visible policing by posting pickets and strict enforcement work. During interrogation of the six caught earlier, police could crack a murder case.
