About 1000 blank certificates of Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), mark sheets and candidates registration related documents were seized in a raid conducted in a college in Saraikela-Kharswan district on Saturday, official sources said.
The raid was conducted at Kolhan Inter College, Chaliama in Saraikela-Kharswan district a day after two teachers were arrested in West Singhbhum district in connection with leak of English paper of ongoing matriculation examination in Chaibasa, the district headquarter of West Singhbhum, DySP(trainee) Shashi Prakesh told newsmen.
Following the leak of the English paper, the Deputy Commissioner of West Singhbhum constituted a team to probe the matter thoroughly.
Continuing the investigation on Saturday, the team conducted raid in Kolhan Inter College and search the premises for over five hours in presence of Sub-divisional Officer (Saraikela), Chandrabhusan Singh and Education Officer Harishankar Ram, who were apprised of the incident.
In course of the search, the team recovered 1000 blank certificates of JAC, mark sheets and documents related to candidate registration, Prakash said.
Irregularities were detected even in the attendance register, leaving wide gap between the roll call of students, and also in the recruitment of teachers.
Earlier, six teachers were interrogated in connection with English paper leak yesterday in Chaibasa while two of them were arrested.
