Locating the Puzzle
Head over to the elevator and take it to the 3rd floor. This is immediately after the second cut scene with Lisa and after obtaining the Hagith key.
Exit the elevator. You'll see a ghostly image of Alessa praying at the altar, which enshrines two paintings. These paintings are the clue for the locked doors on each ends of the corridor.
Obtaining the Light Clues
Examine the paintings. The painting on the left is titled “The light to the future”; the one on the right is titled “The light illuminating darkness.” The painting to the left has the clue to opening the door on the left side, whereas the right painting contains the clue for the right door.
Snap a shot of both paintings. Since the titles are referring to light, it needs light to reveal the clues. The flash of your camera will reveal three figures on each painting.
Opening the Door to the Left
Remember the figures on the left painting.
Head over to the room on the left end of the corridor and activate it. The room beyond this door contains the Birdcage key, so focus on this first.
Enter the code that appeared on the portrait "The light to the future." The door will unlock, allowing you to obtain the Birdcage key.
Opening the Door on the Right
Remember the figures on the right painting.
Head over to the room on the right end of the corridor and activate it. The room beyond this door contains the Birdcage key, so focus on this first.
Enter the code that appeared on the portrait "The light illuminating the darkness." After entering the code, the door will unlock.
