Bundesliga side TSG 1899 Hoffenheim will arrive in India for their first-ever visit to the country on May 12.
The team will touch down in Kolkata on May 12 following a short stopover in New Delhi on their journey from Germany.
"The Hoffenheim players and officials will get a first feeling of India during a short stopover in Delhi on their way to Kolkata. The team is looking forward to experience a new culture and country during the one-week long 2014 India Tour organised by Adamant Sports," Arunava Chaudhuri, Project Manager, Adamant Sports Management AG said.
Hoffenheim will travel to Aizawl on May 13 to face a Mizoram XI in an exhibition match which will feature various I-League stars like Jeje Lalpekhlua, Lalrindika Ralte and Shylo Malswam Tulunga from the state besides local Mizoram Premier League players.
The German side will also conduct a football clinic for children at the Lammual Stadium next day morning (May 14). The clinic will be presented by Global United FC, a non-profit organisation run by Hoffenheim's Director of International Relations and former goalkeeper Lutz Pfannenstiel.
The visitors will return to Kolkata on the same day (May 14) and conduct another clinic in the evening in the City of Joy.
"TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and Global United FC have organised football clinics for children in different parts of the world and they are looking forward to transfer their knowledge to the children in India," Adamant Sports representative Chris Punnakkattu Daniel said.
"Lutz Pfannenstiel has visited India two years ago to conduct three coaching courses for the German Football Association (DFB) and it is great to see him along with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim following up to the visit."
TSG 1899 Hoffenheim will also visit Social Project "Shrishti" supported by the club's main sponsor SAP on May 15, before they fly to Goa in the afternoon. The club will conduct another round of football clinics in Goa on May 17 before returning to Germany on May 19.
