With more than six months left for the next version of Apple iPhone to be launched, rumours about the smartphone are already doing the rounds.
The fact that Apple iPhone will be celebrating its tenth anniversary, expectations from the upcoming models are riding high.
If the speculations are to be believed, Apple will be launching three different models this year. Our best guess? Two variants of iPhone 7s and an iPhone 8.
As per a report, Apple will debut AMOLED screens on its phones with the launch of iPhone 8 with an estimated screen size of 5.8-inches.Also read: HTC U Ultra, U Play Launched: Price, Specifications and More
This screen size will apparently be housed in a 4.7-inch phone by removing the physical home button.
The home button is rumoured to be integrated into the display in the upcoming phone.
The report further adds that the phone will come with a 2.5D glass similar to the existing models. The curved screen has been skipped for now as it didn’t get through the ‘Drop-test results’
iPhone 8 might also house features like Augmented reality and facial recognition.
On the specs front, iPhone 8 can come with a 3GB RAM with two separate internal storage options of 64GB and 256GB.
While the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus might have the same size and look as their predecessors. Meaning that iPhone 7s will sport a 4.7-inch screen and 7s Plus will come with a 5.5-inch screen.
Even the storage options on both these phones will remain the same. The phones will be run on 2GB and 3GB RAM respectively. Also read: Amazon Brings 'Samsung Carnival' With Discounts on Samsung Products
One major factor that will influence the sale distribution across these three models is the pricing.
Apple might have to launch the iPhone 7s at a price lower than the current price of iPhone 7.
This move will help differentiate between these 3 models and hence cater to different ranges of smartphones.
In terms of pricing, iPhone 8 is rumoured to be Apple’s very first phone to cross a $1,000 mark.
This means that the phone can cost anywhere above Rs 67,000. This, not even considering the price difference between USA and India.
Hopefully, the Apple Manufacturing Unit to be opened in India will lower down the phone’s cost for the Indian market. If not, then the phone can easily cross the Rs 70,000 mark and that too, with its most basic specs. Also read: Apple May Come up With SIRI Powered Speakers
