The trailer of Ruslaan was recently unveiled in Mumbai. The film sees Aayush Sharma engage in high-octane action sequences and marks his first project outside Salman Khan Films. At the trailer launch event of Ruslaan today, Aayush exclusively spoke to News18 Showsha about missing Salman, who has otherwise always shared the stage with him to unveil his films.
Talking about his superstar brother-in-law’s reaction to his film, he told us, “I miss Salman sir today. I have worked with him on two films and I have always gotten to share the stage with him. He has seen the film and his blessings will always be there with me. He has blessed the film since day one and I hope to make him proud.”
Aayush further revealed that working outside SKF was unnerving and he hopes that this will mark the beginning of a new chapter for him. “I’ve done two films with SKF, my home production. With Ruslaan, I am stepping out into the real world, working with new and beautiful people. I got to learn so much which is helping me. My first day of shoot was in Hyderabad. It was a new team, new crew and everything was very fresh for me. It was very exciting.”
At the event, he also spoke about how it was never in his strategy to only work with SKF. “There was no intention on my part to only work with family. My family didn’t have this intention for me either. I’m an actor and I’m hungry and I would like to do as many films as I can with the same passion irrespective of which production house is backing them.”
The Antim and Loveyatri actor added, “My journey has just begun. I don’t think I have the liberty to just stay in my comfort zone. With Ruslaan, I have learnt that stepping out of my comfort zone involves risk and but it also gave me experience. I am ready to go out there now. I was ready since Loveyatri but it took some time for my career to pan out.”
However, he still looks forward to collaborate with Salman again as Aayush stated, “It wasn’t a conscious decision to do a film outside SKF. I am grateful Radhamohan (Kesarapalli producer) sir chose me for this film. I hope I get more films from and keep working outside. And whenever SFK does ask me to do a film with them, it would be an honour to go back to them.”
Ruslaan is set for a theatrical release on April 26.
