KRCL Recruitment 2024 Process Begins For 190 Vacancies, Check Eligibility Criteria

The Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) has announced recruitment to a number of department posts. Qualified applicants from Maharashtra, Goa and Karnataka may submit their applications online at konkanrailway.com from September 16 to October 6. A total of 190 positions, including those of Technician, Track Maintainer, Assistant Loco Pilot, Goods Train Manager and others, are open for application as part of the recruiting campaign.

Senior Section Engineer: 5 vacancies

Technician-I II: 15 vacancies

Assistant Loco Pilot: 15 vacancies

Civil department –

Senior Section Engineer: 5 vacancies

Track Maintainer: 35 vacancies

Mechanical department –

Technician-I II: 20 vacancies

Operating department –

Station Master: 10 vacancies

Goods Train Manager: 5 vacancies

Points Man: 60 vacancies

Signal & Telecommunication department –

ESTM-III: 15 vacancies

Commercial department –

Commercial Supervisor: 5 vacancies

KRCL Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit:

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and no older than 36 on August 1, 2024, to apply for these roles. KRCL claims that to accommodate candidates who may have exceeded the age limit due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the maximum age limit has been lifted from 33 to 36. An additional age relaxation will be available to candidates in the reserved category.

Educational Qualification:

(i) Land loser candidates: Regardless of the proportion of land lost, candidates whose land has been acquired for the KRCL project are eligible to apply. They may include themselves, their spouse (wife or husband), son, daughter, grandson, or granddaughter.

(ii) Candidates residing in Maharashtra, Goa, or Karnataka who possess valid employment exchange cards registered with the Employment Exchange along the Konkan Railway route within the jurisdiction of Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd. (Raigad, Sindhudurg, and Ratnagiri Districts of Maharashtra, Goa and Uttara Kannada, Udupi and Dakshina Kannada/South Kannada Districts of Karnataka) are eligible to apply, provided that they are not land loser candidates.

(iii) Other than candidates who don’t win: Applicants who currently reside in Goa, Maharashtra, or Karnataka.

(iv) KRCL staff members: Personnel of KRCL who have worked there regularly for at least three years.

KRCL Recruitment 2024: Application Fee

The prescribed examination cost of Rs 885 plus any applicable gateway charges for each exam must be paid by candidates applying for the positions listed in this notice. Candidates who fall into the categories of SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Female, Minorities, or Economically Backward Class (EBC) and PwBD will have their expenses reimbursed after any applicable bank charges are subtracted.
