'Paaji, Copyright Lagana Hai': Yuzvendra Chahal's Witty Request To Elon Musk as Harshal Patel Imitates His Trademark Celebration

Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has hilariously requested Tesla boss Elon Musk for copyright protection after Harshal Patel’s celebration in yesterday’s Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match. During the contest between Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings, Harshal aided Sameer Rizvi’s dismissal off Kagiso Rabada’s delivery in the 16th over by taking a crucial catch.

In a playful gesture, the Punjab Kings bowler decided to top off the celebration by mimicking Chahal’s signature pose. This led to Chahal sharing a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), hilariously requesting Musk to hold Harshal responsible for copyright infringement. “Dear Elon Musk paaji, Harshal bhai pe copyright lagana hai, [Dear Elon Musk, a copyright should be put on Harshal]”, the Rajasthan Royals spinner wrote.

Speaking of the game, Harshal Patel’s catch proved vital as the Punjab Kings bagged their fourth victory of the season on Chennai’s home turf. The match began with Punjab Kings bowling first. Chennai Super Kings skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad opened the innings for his side, scoring a 48-ball 62. He smashed five boundaries and two sixes in the match to surpass Virat Kohli in the race for the Orange Cap.

The second half saw Punjab Kings chasing a total of 162. The duo of Jonny Bairstow and Rilee Rossouw added 40-plus runs each to seal a dominant seven-wicket victory in Chepauk.
