IPL Orange Cap and Purple Cap Updates, RCB vs DC: Virat Kohli Beyond 660, Tushar Deshpande in Top 5
Virat Kohli has gone past the 660 mark while CSK's Tushar Deshpande and DC's Khaleel Ahmed are back among Top 5 in the Purple Cap listings.

The Sunday double-header saw some rollicking performances across two cities in South India. The defending champions, Chennai Super Kings defeated Rajasthan Royals at Chepauk to jump up to the third spot on the points table. In Bengaluru, the RCB registered their 5th consecutive win this season, defeating Delhi Capitals by 47 runs and dethroning them from the 5th spot on the table.

CSK clinched a five-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals in a low-scoring thriller to brighten their IPL playoffs qualification chances. Chasing a modest 142 on a tricky surface, CSK made 145 for five in 18.2 overs with skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad dropping the anchor to make a well-compiled unbeaten 42. Pacer Simarjeet Singh produced a unified show to restrict Rajasthan Royals to a moderate 141 for five. Tushar Deshpande took 2/30 while the others produced disciplined spells.

Later in the day, RCB bowled and fielded brilliantly to beat Delhi Capitals by 47 runs here to keep their IPL play-off hopes alive. Having managed only 187 for 9 after a blazing half-century by in-form Rajat Patidar, RCB bowled out a lacklustre DC for 140 in 19.1 overs. Patidar (52 off 32 balls) and Will Jacks (41 off 28 balls) added 88 for the third wicket in little under nine overs. But Yash Dayal (3/20) and Cameron Green (1/19) were brilliant with their lengths as none of the Delhi batters save stand-in skipper Axar Patel (57 off 39 balls) made a mark.
