After being acquired by Indian Automotive giant Mahindra, Pininfarina is all set to make an electric sports car. At the Geneva show this year the company showcased its hydrogen sports car concept, the H2 speed.
Mahindra is known for its involvement in the Formula E championship and it was just destined that the two came together as one.
Mahindra’s electric technology combined with Pininfarina’s famed design will bring out a new business proposition in the automotive space. Both the companies plan to be in the futuristic space of electric supercars and this is the next step forward.
Pininfarina was acquired by Mahindra to boost the design abilities of the company’s upcoming cars. But this sort of coming together of companies to bring out a zero emission supercar is a big step forward for both Mahindra and Pininfarina. We just hope that this one at least makes it to India soon.
