WWE’s weekly live wrestling event SmackDown made a waltzing return to the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas on March 8.
The episode began with Logan Paul making a comeback to the WWE brand and cutting a promo. Next, we had the first match of the night in which Randy Orton and Kevin Owens teamed up to take on Austin Theory and Grayson Waller. Later, Bobby Lashley took on Karrion Kross whereas in women’s action, Michin faced Tiffany Straton.
The main event of SmackDown saw Dragon Lee beat Angel Garza. The night came to a close with a promo in which The Rock and Roman Reigns engaged in a verbal battle with Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. Rhodes slapped The Rock during the promo after which the show went off air.
These are the results of all the fights on the latest episode of WWE SmackDown:
Austin Theory and Grayson Waller vs Kevin Owens and Randy Orton
Owens and Theory begin the tag-team action with side headlocks. Soon, Owens takes control of Theory before the latter tags in Waller. After a brief commercial break, we see Theory fire left hand at Owen. Tags are made as Orton explodes over Waller, hitting the snap scoop power slam. He later lands the hanging DDT before Theory interferes. Orton eventually lands the RKO on Theory off an assist from Owens to seal the victory.
Bobby Lashley vs. Karrion Kross
Lashley goes right after Kross with a circular collar and elbow. He starts landing clubbing blows on Kross who fires back out of the corner. Kross lands the big exploder followed by a suplex. He next applies the rear chin lock on Lashley who continues to struggle. The big man is later able to counter with a spinebuster on Kross before getting attacked by the Authors of Pain. This leads to a win for Lashley by disqualification.
‘Michin’ Mia Yim vs. Tiffany Stratton
Michin goes for the pinfall early with a back slide cover but Stratton kicks out in time. She throws Michin into the corner before landing a chop. Stratton counters with a double stomp on Michin before going for the cover. She follows with a back-body drop before lifting Michin on her shoulders. However, Michin lands on her feet and hits her opponent with a suplex. She goes on to win the match after hitting the Prettiest Moonsault Ever.
Angel Garza vs. Dragon Lee
The final match of the night sees Lee start the action early with a dropkick as he follows up with another boot to send Garza into the corner. Lee then pushes Garza into the ropes who grabs his opponent’s knee. He lands a knee of his own to Lee’s face, sending him outside the ring. As the action returns to ring Angel lands another kick but Lee recovers by reversing a powerbomb into a hurricanrana cover. The move seals an easy pinfall victory for him.
