The internet is buzzing with bizarre theories about shots fired at former US President and Republican candidate Donald Trump during his rally in Pennsylvania on Sunday. Amidst the speculation, a video surfaced on social media showing moments before the attempted assassination, featuring a woman seated right behind the former POTUS acting “very weird.”

In the video, the woman, wearing a white dress and sporting a black sunglass, is seen standing behind Donald Trump and acting “strangely” before sitting down moments before the shots were fired. As the video went viral, netizens began to cast doubt on the woman’s role in the attempted assassination. While some argued her actions suggested she was an “accomplice of the shooter”, others called it a “harmless coincidence,” albeit admitting it was “not typical” and “very suspicious”.

“Did anyone else catch the quick smile as the first shot rang out? Was that just a glitch?” one user wrote. Some users also pointed out she had “no shock or reflex to the sound of gunfire”.

One user also pointed out that the woman kept “looking up in the direction of the shooter”.

Shots were fired in the midst of Trump’s speech, prompting him to cover his right ear before Secret Service agents tackled him to the ground. Moments later, Trump stood up, instructed his security detail to “wait,” and raised his fist, urging the shaken crowd to “fight.” At least one attendee was killed, and two others were critically injured, the Secret Service reported.

The US Secret Service shot and killed the shooter, who was later identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks.
