The idea of mobile kitchens, especially with the growing popularity of campervans and motorhomes, sounds super exciting, doesn’t it? And with many now opting for these options to lead a life on the go, we often see videos of people cooking food in such spaces.
And now, a new video of a woman sitting inside her vehicle and cooking fried chicken and waffles from scratch has surfaced.
Sophie Saldana, a vlogger, shared the video that she captioned, “Cooking fried chicken in the car.”
In the video, she first cut the chicken pieces into long strips. Next, she used a transparent sealable pouch and put what looked like spices, buttermilk, and red hot sauce. She then dropped the raw chicken strips into the pouch and coated them well with the ready mixture. In another sealable pouch, she took what seemed like breadcrumbs and coated the chicken pieces.
Next up, she took an electric pot, filled it up with oil and checked its temperature. When it turned hot, she deep-fried the marinated chicken until they turned golden brown. Well, that was not the end; she prepared a separate batter to make Waffles.
In a bowl, she took some all-purpose flour, added two whole eggs, some cinnamon sugar for the sweet taste, and some milk and mixed everything well. Next, she took a waffle maker, added the batter and let it cook for some time. And it’s ready. She made two more similar waffles, took them out on a plate and topped them with the chicken strips.

Soon after she dropped the video, several users shared their reactions.
A user wrote, “Well, the problem for me here is the smell of food in my car.” Another user wrote, “what is this nonsense.” Third user wrote, “I’m mostly concerned about the oil splatter in that new car daaang.”
“Girl! You’re not allowed in my car,” read another comment.
“Your car insurance is gonna cancel you after seeing this,” said another concerned person.
The video has gathered 5.8 million views since it was first shared online.
Sophie has also dropped several other videos of cooking a bacon and egg burger, birria ramen, and even giant cookies inside her vehicle.
