'What a Ball': Harsha Bhogle Trolled With Memes As IPL Fans Get Bored Of His Commentary in GT vs RR

Gujarat Titans made a triumphant return with a heart-stopping victory in the final ball, all thanks to the composed Rashid Khan. With just two runs needed for victory, Rashid smashed a boundary off Avesh Khan, sealing their third win of the 2024 season with three wickets in hand, while Rajasthan Royals faced their first loss. However, amidst the on-field excitement, commentator Harsha Bhogle faced the wrath of trolls on social media for his repetitive reactions.

Bhogle’s trademark “What a ball” echoed from the commentary box as Rajasthan Royals’ Kuldeep Sen showcased a stellar bowling performance. Sen’s dismissal of Abhinav Manohar and Matthew Wade in the same over caught the nation’s attention, as he bowled them out with sheer pace. His first victim, opener Sai Sudharsan, fell LBW while attempting a shot, failing to negotiate Sen’s delivery.

While praises poured in for Sen, it was Bhogle’s repetitive commentary that drew social media’s attention once again. Users expressed their boredom, with one asking, “Does Harsha Bhogle ever say anything apart from ‘what a ball’ when a bowler knocks the stumps? Ever?” Another chimed in, “Harsha bhogle again destroying the great moment with his ‘What a ball’, ‘What a shot’, ‘What a player’ commentary.”

But the trolling didn’t end there. During the post-match presentation, Bhogle attempted to jest with Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill, only to face an unexpected comeback. While Bhogle is known for often teasing the cricketers without facing repercussions, Gill turned the tables on him.

Bhogle remarked, “Well done you got 2 points today. It was a response that left everyone rolling on the floor laughing, as nobody expected the young cricketer to outwit the seasoned commentator in such a manner.
