Recently, an initiative program has started at Kota Jail. The jail now has a petrol pump inside. Every day, many people come to this pump to fill their vehicles with petrol. At first, it looks like a regular petrol station, but all the workers are prisoners from the jail. The prisoners work at this petrol pump.
The petrol pump is inside the jail and does good business. Many people visit to support and encourage the prisoners. The workers were once criminals, like murderers or thieves, but now they earn revenue by working hard at the petrol pump.

It is said that if you have the desire to do something, you can overcome all difficulties. Another saying is that if a person’s behaviour and conduct are good, then it gives pleasant results in the future”.
The post further reads, “These sayings were proved true by Kota Central Jail staff and prisoners here. The jail administration started many work plans inside the jail. Hundreds of prisoners have got employment inside the jail by joining this scheme, due to which they are running the livelihood of their families. In the new year, a petrol pump has also been started here, which was inaugurated on an experimental basis”.
As word of the petrol pump within the confines of the jail circulated on social media, several individuals lauded the initiative. Commenting on its significance, many expressed that it is indeed a commendable idea. They opined that beyond providing employment opportunities for the prisoners, such work could facilitate their rehabilitation, potentially curbing criminal inclinations.
