Desis are known for their knack for ‘jugaad’ to everyday problems. There is no dearth of videos showcasing such incidents, and all credit goes to social media. Recently, this creative spirit made headlines with a viral video featuring a man who devised a unique method to prepare coffee. From cappuccino to espresso, flat white to latte, this beverage holds a special place in our hearts. But making that perfect, frothy cup of coffee that suits our taste buds is challenging for many. However, you will be surprised that the said man used a pressure cooker to make that perfect coffee. Yes, you read it right.
Shared on the social media platform Instagram by the user ‘India Food Hustle’ on April 22, the now-viral video starts with a vendor demonstrating his amazing coffee-making technique. He begins pouring milk, coffee, and sugar into a steel cup, and then comes the jugaad into play! The clip further shows a pressure cooker attached to a machine that includes a steel pipe and a valve attached near the cooker’s whistle, which releases steam. He brings the cup near the setup and submerges the pipe into it.
As steam enters the mug, the coffee mixture starts bubbling up, giving the beverage the desired rich and creamy texture. Once the foamy coffee is ready, the man pours out some beverage into a cup and serves it to the influencer.
Posting the video, the food blogger captioned it, “Atrangi cooker wali coffee, branded coffee se bhi tagadee (Strange Cooker Coffee, Stronger than Branded Coffee).”
