Celebrity chef, TV presenter and writer Gordon Ramsay often captivates the interest of online users with his innovative recipes. Recently, the chef shared a video that showed him making the popular dish, butter chicken. Besides the regular ingredients, he uses tomato sauce to make the dish.
“Curry In Hurry,” Gordon Ramsay wrote while sharing the video. In the clip, he gives step-by-step instructions on how to cook the dish. Gordon marinates the chicken with spices and then goes on to make the gravy. While making the gravy, he adds tomato sauce, an ingredient that’s not usually used in the dish. After this, he cooks the chicken.

The dish prepared by the Chef received mixed reactions from the foodies as most Indians use tomatoes to add flavour in butter chicken. The video has gathered nearly 2.1 million views. It has also mustered quite a number of comments from people. While some said that they find the dish acceptable. A few, however, were not at all impressed.
“Obviously this is nowhere perfect but if you only have 15 minutes to cook at home it’s good enough,” wrote an Instagram user. “Everything was fine until he said tomato sauce,” added another.
“Tomato sauce? Lemon zest? I guess that’s a different version of the dish, not butter chicken. Not close,” an account remarked. “It’s acceptable, just drop the ketchup and use tomato,” suggested a foodie.
Gordon Ramsay, on the other hand, is winning hearts online with his kind gesture. The Chef recently granted one of his fans’ wishes. Madison Baloy, who has reportedly been diagnosed with stage four terminal cancer, wants to meet Ramsay.
Madison took to social media to share her bucket list, with ‘meeting Gordon Ramsay’ ranking 12th. The chef, moved by her journey, responded with a video post on Instagram. In the video, Ramsay mentioned that he would meet Madison in person. The chef’s actions were a dream come true for the young girl.
