Justin Timberlake And Cameron Diaz's romance came to an unexpected end in early 2007. Their breakup shocked many and left their fans and the media speculating about what could have gone wrong between two of Hollywood's most sought-after stars.

Whenever we think about popular celebrity couples in Hollywood from the era of the early 2000s, Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz are often one of the first pairs that come to mind. Their relationship was the talk of the town at the time, and kept fans and media on their toes. The two stars reportedly met in April 2003 at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. Later the same year, the two were rumoured to be dating. Thereafter, the duo was often seen together at various events, games, trips and even house-hunting. According to people, in 2005, Diaz was spotted wearing a ring which made people think that they might be serious and planning a wedding.

However, their fairy tale romance came to an unexpected end in early 2007. Their breakup shocked many, and left their fans and the media speculating about what could have gone wrong between two of Hollywood’s most sought-after stars. The reasons for their split remained largely a mystery, but several theories began to circulate.

One of the most talked-about reasons for their breakup involved Scarlett Johansson. Timberlake’s 2006 music video “What Goes Around… Comes Around” featured Johansson, and rumors swirled that her involvement caused tension between Timberlake and Diaz. According to Us Weekly, there were also allegations that Timberlake and Johansson had a fling after the video shoot.

Scarlett Johansson later addressed these rumours in an interview with Seventeen, saying that in the world of celebrities, it is common for single men and women to be linked romantically by the media, even if there’s no truth to the speculation. Timberlake eventually married Jessica Biel and started a family.

In the aftermath of their split, Timberlake appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. He addressed the rumours about an engagement with Diaz. He told Ellen that she could prepare a bridesmaid dress but would need to keep it for the next 15 years, hinting that marriage was not on the horizon. Shortly after, Diaz also appeared on Ellen’s show and confessed that she had a fear of commitment, which played a role in their breakup. “I’m a commitment-phobe. Just can’t do it,” she said.

Despite their breakup, Timberlake and Diaz maintained a professional relationship. They worked together in 2011 on the comedy-drama film Bad Teacher. Reflecting on their collaboration, Diaz told Us Weekly that they always had a good laugh together and that working with Timberlake was not a big deal.
