Schools are responsible for providing education to children, while parents guide them with proper values and discipline. We often see children drawing or writing on the walls of their homes and schools, despite telling them not to do so. When they don’t listen to their parents and teachers, they are often punished. Today, we will talk about one child who made a similar mistake and his father gave him a bizarre punishment that may surprise you. According to a report in a daily, an 8-year-old from China made sketches on the wall of his school. The father gave his son an unusual punishment. This has sparked discussions on social media.
The incident was reported from the Shanxi Province of China. The boy reportedly drew sketches on a wall of his school. The school authorities then decided to call his parents to complain about the incident. When the father got to know about this, he made his son sit on a street with a guitar and perform in order to earn money for the compensation of the damage he had done to the school wall. The boy performed in the streets for three consecutive days with a note that read, “I damaged the school wall and need to earn 300 yuan (approximately Rs 3686) for compensation.”
While speaking to the local media, the boy’s father said, “My son doodled on a wall of his primary school that was recently renovated. After discussing it with the school, we decided to make him compensate for his deeds. We hope that through these street performances, he can learn to take responsibility.” “He performed for three consecutive days, one hour each day and earned enough to pay the compensation,” he added. His parenting style was highly praised by the netizens on social media.
