Tia Kar On Her Cryptic Post After Ex-Husband’s Engagement: ‘It Has Nothing To Do With Him’

Karan Sharma, known for his role in Sasural Simar Ka 2 recently announced his engagement to actress Pooja Singh. The duo is slated to get married by the end of this month. Karan Sharma was previously married to singer Tia Kar. They separated after three years of their marriage, but recently, a cryptic post by Tia after Karan’s engagement raised speculation. In the latest, Tia shared that she has moved on from her past relationship, and any reference was coincidental.

Karan Sharma’s ex-wife and singer Tia Kar posted an Instagram story with Kangana Ranaut’s popular dialogue from Tanu Weds Manu Returns, “Waah Sharmaji, Reebok nahi toh Ribook sahi.” The instagram post is now unavailable. On being asked if her post had anything to do with Karan Sharma’s impending wedding, Tia told Etimes, “It has nothing to do with my ex-husband. I’m a huge Kangana Ranaut and I was watching Tanu Weds Manu, which is why I shared one of the dialogues on social media. Coincidentally, the surname of Tanu and my ex is the same.” She further stated that she has “moved on in life” by letting go of her past and is focused on her own journey.

Additionally, Tia stated that she had not been in contact with Karan and was not aware of his marriage plans. “But if it’s true, I’m happy for him. I hope his life is filled with joy and love,” said Tia.

Karan Sharma and Pooja Singh will get married on March 30. Karan spoke with Pinkvilla about confirming the same. Reportedly, the couple has known each other for three months. Pooja Singh also told the portal that their wedding will be in the north Indian tradition, with proper dance and music. Pooja also stated that their haldi and mehendi rituals will take place on March 29, 2024. Furthermore, she mentioned, “On the wedding day, there will be many friends from the industry attending the function. Initially, we planned on having an intimate wedding, but when you live in Mumbai, you can’t possibly plan a small function. Our guest list is increasing day by day.”

Pooja added that she met Karan through a common friend. Karan Sharma is recognised for his roles in television shows such as Udaariyaan, Mohi, Kaala Teeka, Ek Nayi Pehchaan, and Pavitra Rishta. Meanwhile, Pooja Singh has worked on projects such as Banni Chow Home Delivery, Diya Aur Baati Hum, Aye Mere Humsafar, and Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal.
