Bigg Boss OTT 3 has begun, bringing drama and entertainment back to television screens as promised. Keeping up with its reputation, the show has already grabbed fans’ attention from Day 1. In the latest episode, actor Sai Ketan Rao was seen getting emotional while recalling his journey and speaking about his father. He also opened up about bagging his first big role on TV. During a conversation with Deepak Chaurasia, a senior journalist who also entered the BB house, Sai Ketan poured out his heart and was visibly in tears.

While talking to Deepak Chaurasia, Sai revealed that he started his journey in Hyderabad, to which the former asked, “Rao means you are from Hyderabad.” Stating that ‘Rao’ in his name has a different story, the actor shared, “Legally on paper, in license, it is Sai Ketan Khadse.” He further revealed that his father is from Maharashtra and his mother is Telugu. “My father was never there in my life. He is there, alive. But he left us in our childhood. I have very few people in my life including my other, my sister, and a best friend,” he added while breaking down in tears.

Earlier at the premiere night, Sai got emotional as he revealed that he expressed his gratitude to his mother and sister, further revealing that he never had a father figure in his life.

Sai Ketan Rao Recalls His Struggles

Speaking about his acting journey and early struggles, Sai said, “I started my journey in Hyderabad in 2016 and then also started studying engineering. However, my mother told me to study properly to become an actor, and I obliged her. My family has no connections with the film industry. I come from a middle-class family, and our situation was also very bad back then. I did a short film and got Rs 100 for playing the lead hero’s brother. Then COVID happened, and it was very difficult for us. I lost my money and a lot of opportunities.”

The actor then revealed how he received a call from a casting director for a character who can speak two languages. “I gave the audition with 400–500 other guys. Only 7 were selected, and I felt like I wouldn’t make it to the list. After a month, I received a call to confirm my selection as the lead actor. That was a heart-touching moment for me,” Sai shared.

The actor rose to fame with his 2021 Hindi daily soap, Mehendi Hai Rachne Waali, opposite Shivangi Khedkar. He was later seen in shows like Chashni and Imlie.
