New Delhi: Sharib Hashmi, best known for his role in the National Award winning movie Filmistaan, is not a tech freak and does not like to use a lot of gadgets. He said, the gadget he uses the most throughout the day is his iPhone 5s. Ironically, Sharib deals with the poor battery life of his Apple iPhone 5s with the aid of a humongous power bank from arch-rival Samsung.
Another Apple product Sharib uses is his 10-year-old iPod (30 GB) which he had bought way back in 2005.
Though Sharib currently has no plans to upgrade to a new iPhone, he certainly is mulling over buying two new Apple products - first is a MacBook Pro and the other is an iPad. When asked Sharib about his plans when to buy these new gadgets, he jokingly said, "depend karta hai next picture kab sign karta hun." Sharib owns only one pair of earphones, the one that had come bundled with his iPhone 5s.
Sharib, however, is not a gaming person, but the only game he sometimes likes to play on his phone is Wordament, a word puzzle game.
While Apple's App Store may house over a million apps but they fail to lure Sharib. "I am very illiterate when it comes to apps. So, I don't know much about them," adding, "the app I use the most is WhatsApp. Other basic apps that I use occasionally include BookMyShow and Justdial to seek information."
On being asked about this first phone, Sharib gets nostalgic. "It was Nokia 5510 that I had bought in 2002", he said.
