Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Quantum 5 phone which is highly secured and exclusive to the South Korean market. The tech giant has joined hands with SK Telecom and ID Quantique to add an advanced form of security chip to improve its online security. Android phones are known for being prone to hacking attempts and Samsung is most likely offering this device to show how it can secure the platform using higher level of security technology.
Samsung Galaxy Quantum 5 Price
The new Quantum 5 variant comes in three different colour ways i.e. Awesome Ice Blue, Awesome Lilac, and Awesome Navy. It is priced at KRW 618,200 (Rs 39,000 approx).
Currently, the price for the normal version of the Galaxy A55 starts at Rs 39,999 for the 8GB+128 GB variant. The 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB models, on the other hand, cost Rs 42,999 and Rs 45,999 respectively. It is available in the Awesome Ice Blue and Awesome Navy Colour options.
Samsung Galaxy Quantum 5: How Secure It Is And Features
The chip called a Quantum Random Number Generator (QRNG) generates random numbers using quantum physics. Unlike ordinary random number generators, QRNGs generate random numbers. These are used to encrypt and decrypt sensitive data such as fingerprints and passwords.
Having said that, the device is almost similar to the Galaxy A55. The Galaxy Quantum 5 features a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Powered by the Exynos 1480 chipset, it is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and runs on the Android 14 operating system.
The phone features a triple rear-camera setup which includes a 50MP primary rear sensor, a 12MP ultrawide lens and a 5MP macro sensor. For clear selfies and video calls, the device has a 32MP front-facing shooter.
The device packs a 5,000 mAh battery which supports 25W fast charging. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and USB-C Type. It also comes with IP64 Dust and Water Resistance, accelerometer, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor and fingerprint sensor.
