Sathish Ninasam and Rachita Ram mesmerised audiences in Mahesh Kumar’s Ayogya, particularly with the song Enammai. The on-screen duo are ready to charm the silver screen once more in a romantic thriller titled Matinee. The film is in its final stages of post-production, and its release date has been confirmed. Matinee is set to hit theatres on April 5. Matinee marks the directorial debut of Manohar Kaampalli. The film has garnered significant attention from audiences, largely due to its captivating soundtrack. The song Sanje Mele Sumane Phonu,composed by Poornachandra Tejaswi and beautifully sung by Vijay Prakash, has captured the hearts of music enthusiasts. Even before the film’s release, it has emerged as one of the top chartbusters, further enhancing the anticipation surrounding the movie.
The wait for the trailer of the film is going to be over soon too. The trailer of Matinee will be out in just a day, on March 27. Kannada star Darshan is expected to launch the trailer officially on Wednesday at 6:30 PM at an event at Mantri Mall at Malleshwaram. Rachita Ram confirmed the news herself as she posted a video on Instagram, announcing the trailer launch event. Daali Dhananjay is also expected to be present at the trailer launch as well.

As per reports, Matinee, helmed by Manohar Kampalli, is described as a suspense thriller with romantic elements. The film’s first look poster was unveiled as early as April 2021, showcasing Sathish and Rachit in intriguing avatars set against the backdrop of what seemed to be a theatre.
In one of the interviews, Sathish disclosed additional details about the film. According to reports, he expressed his delight at working alongside Rachita Ram. He mentioned that the makers intend to release Matinee on a grand scale. Additionally, Sathish revealed that Aditi Prabhudeva portrays a significant role in the movie. Apart from Matinee, Sathish is also set to star in the film Godhraa, directed by KS Nandeesh.
