How Kannada Film Industry Congratulated RCB Women's Team After Their First WPL Win
Popular Kannada director Santhosh Ananddram posted a picture of the whole team and congratulated them.

The second edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) witnessed its final match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Delhi Capitals yesterday, i.e., March 17. In a historic event, the women’s team of the popular franchise RCB secured a resounding victory in the WPL 2024, marking a significant milestone in the franchise’s journey. The win ended the 16-year trophy drought for the franchise as they beat the Delhi Capitals by 8 wickets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The whole country celebrated their success, and social media was flooded with their victory posts. Amid the celebration, the Kannada film industry has also come out in support of the RCB women on social media.

The first person to wish the RCB team a win was none other than Kantara star Rishab Shetty. The actor has been a huge cricket fan throughout his life and tweeted about the win on X. He wrote, “A first victory for honest fans…Congratulations to the RCB Women’s team who won the Trophy for the first time. #SophieDevine @mandhana_smriti @EllysePerry @13richaghosh @shreyanka_patil @RCBTweets.”

Popular Kannada director Santhosh Ananddram, who has made some popular films in Sandalwood along with the late actor Puneeth Rajkumar, also expressed his happiness after the team won the WPL 2024. Apart from them, Bigg Boss Kannada 10 famed Sangeetha Sringeri also took to her Instagram and uploaded a clip of the winning moment. In the video, she can be seen getting nervous as the last ball approaches. After the win, the actress can be seen beaming with joy and dancing her heart out. She wrote, “History created RCBW Winning Moment!”

Kannada TV actress Ranjani Raghavan also uploaded a clip of the winning moment on her Instagram. She captioned the clip, “Really, this time the cup is ours! I am happy that because of the support of the women’s cricket team, a lot of women are inspired.”

This win has come out as a strong inspiration and the fans will be expecting the men’s RCB team to follow the same path of success this year in the upcoming IPL.
