'India Have Solved All Their All-rounders Problems Since Kapil Dev': Nasser Hussain on Virat Kohli's Bowling
Nasser Hussain jokingly said that India have solved the all-rounder problems with Virat Kohli rolling his arms over.

Former England captain Nasser Hussain shared his opinion on Virat Kohli’s bowling as the Indian batting maestro rolled his arms during the ODI World Cup match against Bangladesh. India suffered a big blow on Thursday as all-rounder Hardik Pandya sustained an ankle injury on follow-through in the attempt to stop a boundary. The all-rounder failed to complete his first over and was taken for scans. India skipper Rohit Sharma handed over the ball to Kohli to bowl the last three balls of the over.

The fans went berserk at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune when Kohli took the mark to bowl in ODIs after a gap of about 6 years.

It was the first time Kohli had bowled at this level since a 2017 return of 0-12 in two overs against Sri Lanka in Colombo — a match where he scored 131 in a crushing 168-run win.

Bowling gentle medium pace, Kohli conceded just two runs, a fine return given Bangladesh’s openers were starting to up the tempo after stand-in captain Najmul Hossain Shanto, leading the team in place of the injured Shakib Al Hasan, won the toss.

Hussain jokingly said that India have solved the all-rounder problems with Kohli rolling his arms over.

“They have solved all their all-rounders problems since Kapil Dev, I would say with Virat Kohli’s looping inswingers. I did not realise that Rohit Sharma has an IPL hat-trick. Why is he not bowling?” Hussain joked while speaking to Star Sports.

The BCCI also provided an update on Hardik and said he was taken for the scans.

“Hardik Pandya’s injury is being assessed at the moment and he is being taken for scans,” the BCCI stated.

“It’s a big problem Hardik, you don’t know whether to bring in a batter in SKY or bring in a bowler in Shami. Jadeja at 6, Shardul at 7, and number 8 a tail-ender. You could bring Ashwin if it’s a serious injury,” he added.
