New Delhi: Around 20-25 people present at the event at the Jawaharlal Nehru University have been identified after the joint interrogation of JNUSU president Kanhaiya Kumar, Umar Khalid and Anirban Bhattacharya.
However, they are yet to got the details of who were the students, teachers and outsiders among them. Other details like the department and whether they stayed in the hostel are also awaited. According to police sources, the muffled men were most active people in that event. But they have not yet been identified.
The investigators are awaiting the report of JNU high level committee on the matter which will be the deciding factor whether the varsity's Vice-Chancellor, who had withdrawn permission for the February 9 event, or other members of the committee will be listed as witnesses in the case.
Meanwhile, the police have started preparing the evidence file of the case.
Delhi Police has started the evidence filing process into the Jawaharlal Nehru University controversy. This includes raw version of the video clip obtained from a news channel on the basis of which the case was registered, the letters of communication between the police and the University authorities.
The posters used for the event are also being examined. The police claims that it will help prove criminal conspiracy in connection with the matter.
The evidence collected by police will be sent for CFSL for forensic examination.
