No major differences with allies, says Congress
Abhishek Manu Singhvi said the government was formed to complete five years and it will do so.

Jaipur: Attempting to quell the speculation of mid-term elections, Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi on Saturday said there was no major rift between Congress and its allies, and the government will complete its term.

"It was speculated by Opposition BJP and some other parties to create a wrong atmosphere," Singhvi told reporters after filing his nomination papers for Rajya Sabha election in Jaipur.

It is illogical... The government was formed to complete five years and it will do so, Singhvi said.

"BJP and some parties are speculating about the mid term polls. There could be minor differences with alliance partners over some issues in the government, but there is no major difference between the Congress and its alliance," he said.

Talking about his association with the state, he said that he would try to increase the number of projects/works he initiated as the MP.

"I initiated several projects for public welfare in education and health sectors in Jalore, Barmer, Pali, Jodhpur and Jaisalmer districts in the past and I would try to increase the number which at present is around 450," he said.

"As an MP, I worked to improve status of primary schools, health centers etc. I used to visit the areas once in two three months and I will take care of all issues related with the state at the Centre," he said.

Singhvi said that he made efforts to get constitutional recognition for Rajasthani language and expressed confidence that the efforts would yield positive results.
