Haryana government buckles under pressure, agrees to CBI probe into killing of Dalit children in Faridabad
Earlier, Haryana Chief Minister ML Khattar had deferred his scheduled meeting with the kin of the Dalit family which was attacked on Tuesday.

Faridabad: Haryana government has agreed for CBI probe into Faridabad caste violence case. The family of the Dalit children had been demanding for a CBI probe since early Wednesday.

PRO of Haryana CM, Amit Arya said, " The case was about the enmity between two families. The CM has appealed not to politicise the issue."

Earlier, Haryana Chief Minister ML Khattar had deferred his scheduled meeting with the kin of the Dalit family which was attacked on Tuesday. Khattar called off the meeting amid protest by locals. The local administration took away the bodies of the children who were killed, after protestors placed it on the road to block it.

"Sad incident has taken place. CM has not cancelled his visit, he has just postponed it. Central ministers are there and are talking to the family. Action is being taken. He will visit Faridabad and visit the family members after the funeral of the children", said OSD to Haryana Chief Minister Jawahar Yadav.

Police had resorted to lathi charge after local villagers blocked the highway. Local officials tried to diffuse the situation.

Four persons have been arrested after the family of four was set on fire including- one child aged 11-month-old and the other who was 2.5-year-old. The children's mother also sustained serious injuries and is in the ICU in Safdarjung hospital. Their father has also sustained serious burns.

Earlier on Wednesday, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi and Left leader Brinda Karat visited the family in Sunped village.
