Bangalore: A former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker on Saturday hurled a slipper on Karnataka State Housing Minister V Somana inside the Vidhan Soudha in Bangalore.
The former party worker, BS Prasad, was upset after the BJP denied him a seat in the city corporation.
According to eyewitnesses, Prasad said while committing the act that he was hurt by the decision of the party.
Prasad has been charged under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for assaulting a VIP and a government servant.
Prasad is a real estate broker hailing from Hebbal in Bangalore.
