Dam row: Jaya to receive PM at airport today

Chennai: Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa is scheduled to receive Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at the airport on Sunday when he arrives Chennai on a two-day visit to the State.

The Chief Minister is likely to take up with the Prime Minister the Mullaiperiyar issue as protests in border areas are on the rise.

Besides, she may also discuss issues, including the agitation against the Kudankulam nuclear power plant and submit a memorandum to him.

Senior ministers, including O Panneerselvam and eight others, are likely to accompany her.
