Bihar Board 12th Result 2022: The Bihar School Education Board (BSEB) commonly known as Bihar Board has declared the class 12 or intermediate board exams result today. The result for students of arts, commerce, and science stream has been issued simultaneously. Over 13.46 lakh students who took the exam can check their results online at official websites, biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in, onlinebseb.in.

One of Bihar board’s best result, the pass percentage stands at 80.15 per cent. Commerce stream has once again produced best results with a pass percentage of 90.38 per cent. As many as 79.53 per cent of students have passed in the arts stream and 83.7 per cent in science stream. The BSEB inter results 2022 were also one of the fastest declared by the board.
Out of the total of 13,55,749 students who appeared for the exam, a total of 10,62,557 students cleared it. The overall pass percentage is at 80.15 per cent which a rise from last year when the 78.04 per cent of students passed the exam. The pass percentage has been up by 2.11 per cent this year. In 2020, the overall pass percentage was 80.44 per cent.

The State Education Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary along with Bihar Board chief Anand Kishore will be announcing the result at 3 pm from Patna-based headquarters. The result will be announced at a media briefing first. Once announced to the media, the link for students to check their results online will be activated.
This year too, Bihar Board is all set to be one of the first boards to have declared results, however, another record set in making today is that of commerce stream. Over past two years, commerce has remained best performing stream in Bihar Board class 12 results. The Bihar Board inter exam results had seen an improvement in the past year. In 2021, more than 4.13 lakh students got first division which was a rise of more than 10,000 students from 2020.
Bihar Board Inter Result 2022: Marks Needed to Clear Exam
Students who appeared for the Bihar board class 12 examination will have to score a minimum of 33 per cent marks in every subject and overall to clear the exam. For subjects that have practical aspects such as for science stream students, the candidates have to pass in theory and practical papers separately.
Bihar Board exam papers were set using 10 sets of question papers to ensure students could not cheat with those sitting next to them, BSEB claimed. For the exams, students were asked to answer any 50 questions out of a total of 100 questions. If a candidate answers more than 50 questions, the first 50 questions were to be calculated. The exam had 50 objective-type questions and 50 subjective-type questions. Students needed to answer 10 subjective questions for two marks, 10-questions for two marks and 50 one-mark objective questions.
To check their results, students need to keep their admit card handy. Once out online, students will be able to check their detailed marks and download marksheet using their roll number. The roll number will be mentioned in the hall ticket or Bihar Board admit card.

Bihar Board Class 12 Result 2022: How to check through SMS
Apart from the official portals and the DigiLocker app, students could also check results via SMS. They will need to type “BIHAR12" and your BSEB registration number/roll number on a message box and send it to 56263. The Bihar Inter result 2022 will be sent to your mobile phone after declared.

Once received, the Bihar board class 12 students must cross-check all the details on the marksheet carefully. The report card will includes not just the candidate’s scores but also their name, parents name, subject name, application number, and other details. In case of any discrepancy, report to the authorities immediately. Students can also report to their schools in case they have any queries related to their report cards, which will thereafter be taken forward to the BSEB by the school authorities.
The Bihar board had earlier released the provisional answer key for the class 12 objective questions asked in the exam. It comprised of 50 per cent of the exams. Candidates can use the provisional answer key to assess their probable score in the objective section which is available at the official website.
Bihar Board 12th Result 2022: Re-evaluation Process
Students who think that they have not bee evaluated fairly or the calculation could be wrong and they have given a better exam can opt for the re-evaluation process. Every year, the board allows candidates to sent their copies for re-checking. The board is likely to open the application window for the re-evaluation once the results are released. In case of any queries, students could report immediately.
Bihar Board Inter Result 2022: Past Years’ Performance
In 2021, commerce was the best performing stream with 91.48 per cent of students who took exams in commerce stream clearing the exam. In 2020 too, it was commerce with 93.26 per cent pass percentage which had topped among streams. It would be worth seeing if the stream continues it winning streak and moves for a hattrick this year.
As per rules, toppers in all the three streams – Science, Arts, and Commerce – will receive a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh each. The second and third rank holders will get Rs 75,000 and Rs 50,000. The top three rank holders will also receive laptops and kindle e-readers.
Meanwhile, the pass percentage in Bihar Board 12th Result is also on a rise over the years. Starting from a passing percentage of 79.16 in 2019, the Bihar board results moved to 80.44 in 2020. In 2021, the board had passed 78.04 per cent students, however, it later gave grace marks and promoted all students due to the covid-19 pandemic. Thus, registering a record high pass percentage of 100 per cent.
