In good news for iPhone users, the Meta-owned popular instant messaging application WhatsApp is widely rolling out a feature to initiate group calls with up to 31 participants. It will allow WhatsApp iOS users to quickly connect with a larger number of participants with just a few taps.
“WhatsApp has recently released the 23.21.72 update for iOS on the App Store. We discovered that WhatsApp is widely rolling out improved calling to everyone,” WABetaInfo reported.
The Meta-owned app is releasing the ability to pick up to 31 people before placing a group call. In previous updates, group calls already supported up to 32 participants, but users were initially limited to selecting only 15 contacts when initiating such calls.
Here’s How To Initiate Group Calls On WhatsApp With Up To 31 Participants
– Open WhatsApp, then tap the CALLS tab.
– Tap New call > New group call.
– Find the contacts you want to add to the call, then tap Voice call.
With the latest updates, users can finally start group calls by experimenting with the full capacity of 32 participants right from the outset, simplifying and enhancing the calling experience.
A feature to initiate group calls with up to 31 participants is available for iOS users who install the latest update of WhatsApp from the App Store. If you don’t have this feature, please note that it may be rolled out to certain accounts in the upcoming weeks.
To ensure you stay up-to-date and gain access to this feature, make sure to keep your WhatsApp app updated through the App Store and the TestFlight app.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp is also working on a new feature to respond to support queries with messages generated by AI (artificial intelligence).
It may assist users by sending messages generated by AI using a secure service from Meta. This feature is expected to improve user interactions, minimise response times, and ensure a more efficient support experience by benefiting both WhatsApp users and customer service.
