When Anushka Sharma Revealed Why She Never Dated Ranveer Singh: 'I Like Him But...'

Karan Johar’s popular talk show Koffee With Karan returned to screens with its eighth season on Thursday, October 26. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were the first guests on Koffee With Karan 8. On the show, they spoke at length about their relationship, from their courtship period to how they navigate their marriage. Ranveer said on the show that he met Deepika after his breakup from a long-term relationship. Netizens have always speculated that Ranveer was dating Anushka Sharma during that period.

As such, an old video of Anushka has surfaced on Reddit. In the video, Anushka could be seen telling Simi Garewal why she wouldn’t date Ranveer Singh. She first denied dating the actor, and then Simi asked why they weren’t together. Anushka said, “If you know Ranveer and me really well if people get to know us really well, they realise that we’re very different people.”

Anushka added, “We have a very volatile relationship. Yeah, we can kill each other. I’m serious, I can take his head off, he can take mine off… If we ever had to be in a relationship, we would want two different things from a relationship. We see life in a very different way. He’s a very practical person, I’m completely impractical.”

“I like him, he’s attractive and everything. But, for me, a relationship can’t be frivolous. So, for me, if I happen to be with another man, he needs to calm me down. Otherwise, it would not be a good relationship,” the actress added.

Anushka Sharma later got married to cricketer Virat Kohli on December 11, 2017, in a gorgeous pastel-themed ceremony in Italy. The couple have a daughter together named Vamika. It is speculated that Anushka is currently pregnant with their second child but is being quiet about it, like her last pregnancy.
