Sunny Deol Opens Up on Ending 16-Year FIGHT With Shah Rukh Khan, Says ‘It’s Best To Leave….’
The rift between Sunny Deol and Shah Rukh Khan started in 1993 when the two were shooting for their movie Darr.

It is no secret that Sunny Deol and Shah Rukh Khan were not on talking terms for the longest time. When the former’s Gadar 2 hit theatres earlier this year, the entire industry came together to celebrate it. Even Shah Rukh Khan joined the celebration and was seen hugging Deol. In a recent interview, Sunny opened up about the reconciliation of his long-standing differences with SRK when he mentioned that ‘everybody has moved ahead’ and is now ‘happy and satisfied’.

“Everybody has moved ahead in life. and mentally happy, secure with what they have. When they were younger, they weren’t like that. Now everybody is happy and satisfied. Everyone of us knows what wrong or right we did. Time is a healer. It’s best to leave it there. I was so happy that everyone turned up at my party,” Deol told Hindustan Times.

The rift between Sunny Deol and Shah Rukh Khan started in 1993 when the two were shooting for their movie Darr. Reportedly, even though Sunny was the film’s protagonist, he wasn’t happy with the way his character was portrayed against Shah Rukh Khan’s antagonist role. After the release of Darr, the two actors did not speak to each other for 16 years.

Darr completed 30 years earlier this month when Sunny Deol opened up about his equation with Shah Rukh Khan and told news agency PTI, “I’m so thankful to him (Shah Rukh). I remember speaking to him and he was in Dubai for the promotions (of Jawan). I thought he wouldn’t come but he came straight from there. He was there for a little while. I didn’t get a chance to meet or speak to him after that (party) but whenever I do it would be beautiful.”

“We as actors have certain things (that happen) over a period of time. When we are younger, we are a bit different, and as time goes by, we start maturing and we start understanding what life is in reality. All of us have changed quite a lot. That’s the beautiful thing about it. Time is a healer of everything,” he added.

Sunny Deol made a smashing comeback earlier this year with Gadar 2. The film impressed everyone and earned more than Rs 600 crore at the Indian box office. Next, Sunny is likely to feature in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. Reportedly, the actor is in talks with the makers for Hanuman’s role. However, there is no official confirmation of this as of now.
