Sidharth Malhotra will be next seen in a web series Indian Police Force. He is making his ott debut with Rohit Shetty's show.

Sidharth Malhotra is gearing up for his digital debut. He will be soon seen in a web series Indian Police Force co starring Shilpa Shetty. Well, ahead of the web series release, the actor was seen speaking about his choice of roles in recent times. In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Sidharth revealed why he chose real-life heroes-inspired roles more.

Sidharth Malhotra was quoted saying, “I find it really interesting. When you play characters that you have seen or heard of in real life, and when they are doing something very heroic and something very thrilling, it makes for nice Hindi film entertainment. I find that watch very interesting. I like parts of geo-politics, I like real life missions when I see documentaries. Not that any of the films is a version of that. Maybe Shershaah was one. But it’s a great mix.”

In the same interview, the actor explained how roles help him understand the perspective of the audience. He said, “Like you have seen a police officer. All of us have seen them. Maybe not interacted with them closely. But when you see a show (Indian Police Force) like this, you realise that this is what they have to face in real life; These are their challenges and this is how their personal life may be like. This is the extent of their duty or dedication that it takes”.

The ensemble cast of Indian Police Force adds further star power to the project, with Lalit Parimoo, Vivek Oberoi, Shweta Tiwari, Nikitin Dheer, Rituraj Singh, Mukesh Rishi in crucial roles.

Adding to the excitement, Dharma Productions revealed that Sidharth Malhotra’s action film Yodha is set to hit theatres on March 15, 2024. Directed by the debutant duo Pushkar Ojha and Sagar Ambre, Yodha is a collaboration between Dharma Productions and Mentor Disciple Films, backed by Karan Johar and Shashank Khaitan.
