Actress Rashmika Mandanna, whose big Bollywood debut Goodbye opened in theatres today, recently dropped a special message for her co-star Amitabh Bachchan on social media. The actress took to her Instagram stories to re-share a video from Amitabh Bachchan’s profile and wrote, “Always supporting and guiding me throughout as my mentor and also as my papa. Watch Tara and Papa with your entire family in cinemas near you".

In the Instagram post shared by the veteran actor, Amitabh Bachchan can be seen talking to Rashmika over the phone as she is nervous about the film. When Rashmika says that she feels nervous ahead of the film’s release, Amitabh tries to cheer her and asks her, “Why are you nervous?" He goes on to tell her that she’s done an amazing job in the movie.

Amitabh also tells her that he had recently tweeted to stop being nervous and start being excited about what could go right. He goes on to compliment her on her performance as Tara in the film Goodbye, which he describes as “beautiful." The veteran actor says that she did an excellent job in the film and that he has become a fan of hers.
Towards the end of the video, he says, “Hard work has no substitute. I am confident that the audience will see your hard work. And I am confident that you will receive much love and appreciation from the Indian film industry".

Rashmika Mandana makes her Bollywood debut in Goodbye. Mission Majnu, starring Sidharth Malhotra, was supposed to be her Hindi debut, but the film is yet to be released. Actors Ashish Vidyarthi, Elli AvrRam, Sunil Grover, Shivin Narang, Sahil Mehta and Abhishekh Khan also star in Goodbye. The film was shot by Sudhakar Reddy Yakkanti and edited by A Sreekar Prasad, with music by Amit Trivedi. The film is produced by Ektaa R Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures in collaboration with Good Co. and will be released in theatres on October 7, 2022.
