Caught On Cam: Young Woman In Russia’s Sochi Swept To Sea As Boyfriend Helplessly Tries To Save Her
The rescue agencies have been searching for the woman for the last three days but have not been able to find her.

A woman got swept out to sea while her boyfriend frantically tried but failed to save her in Russia’s seaside resort city of Sochi on Sunday. The video of the incident, which is now going viral on social media, showed the couple walking on the beach holding hands and enjoying themselves.

But a large wave knocked them off their feet. The man emerges moments later but the woman is not seen anymore. The man was seen frantically looking for his partner but to no avail.

A report by journalist Colin Rugg on X said that the couple were from the Russian city of Lipetsk. The woman is said to have been 20 years old.

“The search has not returned any results at this time. The work continues,” the Southern Regional Search and Rescue Brigade said. The rescue agency said they have expanded their search from “Riviera beach to the Mamayka microdistrict” and have been searching for three days.

In a separate incident from earlier this month, four Indian students drowned in a river near St Petersburg. The medical students drowned when they entered a fast-flowing river.

Four students from Maharashtra – Harshal Anantrao Desale, Jishan Ashpak Pinjari, Jia Firoj Pinjari and Malik Gulamgous Mohammad Yakub – drowned in the Volkhov River.

They were studying at the Novgorod State University in Veliky Novgorod city.

A fifth student, Nisha Bhupesh Sonawane, was rescued.
