While fans are eagerly waiting for Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo, looks like they will have to wait a little more to watch the much-awaited movie. As reported by Indian Express, a civil court in Hyderabad has asked theatres to hold the release of the film till October 20. This comes after Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainment filed a case and claimed that he has the rights to the title ‘Leo’. He has, therefore, also demanded the filmmakers to change the name of the Vijay starrer.
This comes at a time when the makers of Leo are also fighting for the early morning shows of the Vijay starrer in Tamil Nadu. On Tuesday, October 17, The Madras High Court left the matter in the hands of the Tamil Nadu government, in case they would like to reconsider the earliest show timing to be 7 am.
For the unversed, the Tamil Nadu government issued an order recently imposing certain conditions for the screening of Leo in theatres. As per this order, Vijay’s movie will not have an early morning show. While the first show will begin at 9 am, it can go on till 1:30 am. On the other hand, Kerala and Karnataka have early morning shows for Leo.
Leo is an action thriller which also stars Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Menon, Mysskin and Priya Anand in pivotal roles. The film also features Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt. Rathna Kumar and Deeraj Vaidy co-wrote the script with Lokesh Kanagaraj. The music for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander and its cinematography and editing have been handled by Manoj Paramahamsa and Philomin Raj, respectively.
Leo will hit theatres in India on October 19. Trade analysts predict that the Vijay starrer will be one of the biggest blockbusters of the year and is likely to earn more than Rs 70 crore on the first day. It is also being said that Leo might beat Rajinikanth’s recently released Jailer.
