Thalapathy Vijay, Trisha Krishnan and Sanjay Dutt’s Leo has already created history by becoming biggest worldwide opening day for any Tamil movie. Now the the film has already crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in India.

As per early estimates, Lokesh Kanagaraj’s directorial has minted over Rs 36 crores on Day 2 according to Sacnilk.com. On the first day, the film earned Rs 64.80 crores in India.

Leo is an action thriller which also features Arjun Sarja, Gautham Menon, Mysskin and Priya Anand in pivotal roles. Rathna Kumar and Deeraj Vaidy co-wrote the script with Lokesh Kanagaraj. The music for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander and its cinematography and editing have been handled by Manoj Paramahamsa and Philomin Raj, respectively.

While the film was allowed early morning shows in several states including Kerala and Karnataka, it should be noted that in Tamil Nadu, the first show of Leo began only at 9am.

News18 Showsha’s review of Leo read: “Thalapathy Vijay’s performance is easily one of the highpoints of Leo. Trisha gets a decent screen time, but her character doesn’t add much value to the story. Filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon has given an effortless performance. On the other hand, Sanjay Dutt is unfortunately wasted in the film. His charisma seems to be missing and his character looks weak in front of Vijay’s character in the film.”
