In Mumbai, 156 Youths Swindled In Falguni Pathak Dandiya Pass Scam
Falguni Pathak's Garba Night took place in the Borivali region of Mumbai, and a single pass was originally priced at Rs 4,500.

Around 156 young people in Mumbai lost a total of Rs 5.14 lakh when they tried to buy tickets for an upcoming garba night hosted by Falguni Pathak. The scam unfolded when an individual, posing as an authorized event ticket seller, failed to provide the promised discounted tickets. Consequently, the victims decided to report the incident to the Mumbai police.

Falguni Pathak’s Garba Night took place in the Borivali region of Mumbai, and a single pass was originally priced at Rs 4,500. Nevertheless, the accused enticed these young individuals by offering discounted passes and deceived them.

A 20-year-old entrepreneur in the painting business, along with two friends, seized an appealing opportunity to secure passes. This generated interest from 153 more people in their network. They gathered the necessary funds and informed Shah of their plan to purchase 156 passes on Thursday.

A young resident of Kandivali, Mumbai, discovered that an individual named Vishal Shah, who purported to be the authorized seller of Falguni Pathak’s event in Borivali (West), was selling passes at a reduced price. The complainant found out that Shah was selling the passes for Rs 3,300, which was lower than the official rate of Rs 4,500 for the event.

The person who fell victim to the scam, along with their friends, decided to purchase the passes. They also reached out to a total of 156 individuals, including the complainant, agreeing to buy the passes. To facilitate this, the complainant and two of their friends collected money from everyone involved.

Shah directed the three of them to meet a person on New Link Road, Borivali (West), who would collect the money and give them the passes. They followed Shah’s instructions, met the designated person, and exchanged the money for passes. Later, Shah provided them with an address in Yogi Nagar and instructed them to pick up the passes from there. But when the three friends reached Yogi Nagar, they couldn’t find the building, getting suspicious that they had been deceived.

Subsequently, the young individuals lodged a formal complaint at the MHB Colony police station. With the case officially registered, law enforcement authorities initiated efforts to track down and apprehend the alleged perpetrator.
