Bollywood filmmaker Anees Bazmee celebrated his 61st birthday on November 1. From No Entry to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, he has given us a range of films infused with hard-hitting comedic elements to enjoy. On this special occasion, Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan dropped a lovely picture with the director on Instagram, wishing him a happy birthday. Kartik Aaryan and Anees Bazmee worked together in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 — a film that turned out to be a blockbuster in the theatres. Through the photo, the actor further expressed his excitement to work with Bazmee and “create magic” again.

“Happy Birthday to my blockbuster director Anees Bazmee sir. Can’t wait to get back on your set and hear ‘action’ from you and create magic,” captioned Kartik Aaryan in the Instagram post. The heartwarming picture captured Kartik giving Bazmee a hug from behind. Both sported beaming smiles on their faces. While the Shehzaada actor was donned a denim jacket, the filmmaker was dressed in a simple black, ribbed pullover. Kartik also made a significant “call me” hand gesture which is a classic Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise gesture. Kartik Aaryan’s caption presumably indicated that he is ready to work with Bazmee for the much-anticipated sequel of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.

Anees Bazmee, who was previously working with Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the upcoming film Section 108, had earlier revealed some details in the trailer launch event about Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The filmmaker claimed that the third part is still in “the writing process” and hence will take some more time to complete.

On March 1, Kartik Aaryan dropped a video on Instagram, dressed up as his Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 character Rooh Baba hinting that the third installment is scheduled to hit the big screens in Diwali 2024. “Rooh Baba Returns Diwali 2024,” he wrote.

On the work front, Kartik Aaryan has also been roped in for Anurag Basu’s Aashiqui 3. Further details of the film are kept under wraps.
