Uttarakaanda Will Be Shot In Hubballi: Actor Ravishankar Gowda

Ravishankar Gowda is one of the critically acclaimed actors in the Kannada cinema. He has received adulation for his acting chops in the films Vikrant Rona, Mysore Huli, and others. Now, he is looking forward to his film Uttarakaanda. Ravishankar talked about how the makers have planned to shoot this film in Hubballi, North Karnataka. He said that Uttarakaanda will go on floors in March and they will go to Hubballi for the shoot.

Ravishankar said that the film’s unit will be shooting in Hubballi for an extended period. Rohith Padaki and Sharath Manjunath have directed this film. Rohith is also associated as the writer of this movie. The ensemble cast of this film also includes Diganth, Ramya, Atul Kulkarni, Dhananjaya, and Shivarajkumar. KRG Studios has backed Uttarakaanda, touted to be an action, adventure drama. Uttarakaanda will depict the vibrant yet gritty streets of Uttara Karnataka, as revealed in the film’s first teaser. It is envisioned as a two-part saga and features Dhananjaya in the lead role of Gabru Sathya. Ramya also has a significant role in the film.

Besides Uttarakaanda, Ravishankar Gowda also has other films in his lineup. He will act in the film Agnyathavasi directed by Janardhan Chikkanna. Sharath Lohitashwa, Rangayana Raghu, Siddu Moolimani, and others will act in Agnyathavasi. Agnyathavasi is currently in the post-production phase. Dakshayani Talkies unveiled the teaser of this film on April 7, 2023. The teaser is set in the 1990s with the Western Ghats as its backdrop. It features actor Rangayana Raghu as the central character, who is trapped in a murder mystery. Raghu is a veteran of over 150 films and Agnyathavasi marks his debut as a protagonist.

Janardhan Chikkanna told a media portal that a murder mystery might work either as a James Bond-ish film or treated like a Sherlockian investigation. According to him, Agnyathavasi will have a different approach. “We have tried to focus on the psyche of the killer before and after the act of murder," he said.
