Thalapathy Vijay’s GOAT Top Movie In India On This OTT Platform

Thalapathy Vijay’s penultimate film in his career, The Greatest of All Time (GOAT) hit the theatres on September 5. Upon its release, it opened to mixed reviews from the critics. Despite this, the actor proved his superstar status as the film became the biggest box office hit with its strong music album and content. After its theatrical run, the makers released it on Netflix on October 3.

The makers had announced the release of the GOAT on X. The tweet read, “Ever seen a lion become a G.O.A.T?! Thalapathy Vijay’s The G.O.A.T- The Greatest Of All Time is coming to Netflix on 3 October in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. The GOAT On Netflix.”

Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the film has topped the trending films chart on Netflix within a few days of its release on OTT. The audience is showering the action thriller with much love and this might be a great chance for those who missed it out on the theatres to watch it on OTT.

In GOAT, Thalapathy Vijay played a double role. It also stars Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Ajmal Ameer, Sneha and Mohan in the prominent roles. It is produced under the banner of AGS Entertainments. As per reports, the latest release of Thalapathy Vijay has left a few of his other films behind in terms of box office collections. This includes Bijil, Master, Beast and Vaisu. Meanwhile, Leo which was released in 2023 collected Rs 341 crore domestically and earned Rs 605 crore worldwide.

Thalapathy Vijay is gearing up for his final film before he embarks on his political career. If the reports are anything to go by, South actress Manju Warrier will join the cast of the film. In an interview with SS Music, the actress reminisced about working with filmmaker H Vinoth. As per the actress who worked with the director on Thunivu, she was promised another film where he mentioned, “I will give you another film to act well.” This led to speculations that she might be starring opposite Thalapathy Vijay.
