South Actor Venu Thottempudi's Father Dies At 92
The mortal remains of Professor Thottempudi Venkata Subbarao were kept at Venu Swagriham in Steel and Mines Complex in Srinagar Colony, Hyderabad till noon.

Popular Telugu actor Venu Thottempudi is mourning the loss of his father, Professor Thottempudi Venkata Subbarao, who passed away on Monday at the age of 92. Suffering from a serious illness, the demise of Professor Thottempudi Venkata Subbarao was confirmed by the actor and his family. Celebrities from the film industry paid their respects and visited Venu’s house to offer condolences.

The final rites of Professor Thottempudi Venkata Subbarao were conducted at the Mahaprasthan in Jubilee Halls after keeping his mortal remains at Venu Swagriham in the Steel and Mines Complex in Srinagar Colony, Hyderabad. To honour his father’s legacy, Venu Thottempudi organised a visitation at his residence, where friends and well-wishers were invited between 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The final rites took place at 12:30 p.m.

Venu Thottempudi, a popular Telugu actor, made his OTT debut with the series Athidhi in September 2023. The horror thriller series, written and directed by YG Bharath, also stars Avantika Mishra and Aditi Gautam. Venu’s performance in the show received praise from both critics and the audience. The series is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.

Before his OTT debut, Venu Thottempudi made a comeback through the 2022 film Ramarao On Duty after a hiatus of nine years. In the movie directed by Sarath Mandava, he played the role of CI Jammi Murali. The film features Ravi Teja in the lead role.

Venu Thottempudi made his debut in the entertainment industry with the movie Swayamvaram in 1999, directed by K Vijaya Bhaskar. Over the years, he has contributed to the Telugu film industry with his versatile performances.
