After releasing the first-look poster of her upcoming film Shakeela in November, Richa Chadha took to social media on Wednesday to share a new poster which has her kneeling inside a half-filled glass of whiskey wearing a bright yellow-and-purple monokini.
The quirky poster—an ode to the 90s—reads “Iss Saal Ka Jaam, Shakeela Ke Naam.” The film’s release date is yet to be announced as the poster reveals little besides “Summer 2019”.

Directed by Indrajit Lankesh, the film is the biopic of adult film star Shakeela Khan, who ruled the South-Indian box office in the late 90s. Produced by Sammy's Magic Cinema and Yoddhas Entertainment, the film will delve into Shakeela’s true life beyond her screen image.
Though Shakeela’s tagline says “Not A Porn Star,” Chadha, who is playing her onscreen, says the film is not an attempt to whitewash Shakeela’s image. "See, there is no point of fighting what people said about her at the peak of her career. People watched her films and called her a porn star, which she was not,” she earlier told IANS.

“In the film, we are unveiling the story of an actress and the unexplored side of her journey. Then let the people decide if she really deserved the tag she had to bear," she said.
“Calling an adult (film) star a porn star is a sign of patriarchy. You are disrespecting an actress who is part of films that are adult in theme. And then you are watching them so much that those films are making huge money. What kind of hypocrisy is that?” she added.
