If reports are to be believed, not only Kareena Kapoor but Kiara Advani has been roped in to play a pivotal part in Yash starrer Toxic. Announced last year, Toxic will mark Yash’s first project since KGF 2. The film will be directed by Geethu Mohandas. Although the title was announced last year, there have been several speculations about the lead actress. While it was recently claimed that Kareena has signed on the film, a new report has claimed Kiara has also said yes to the project.
A source told Pinkvilla that Kiara will be seen in the film playing a pivotal part. The insider added the film will star three leads. “The film will feature three actresses with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kiara Advani already on board. However, the makers will make an official announcement at the right time. The insider also revealed that Kareena will be playing Yash’s sister in the film,” the report claimed.
If this is true, Toxic would mark Kiara’s Kannada film industry debut. She is already working on a Telugu film titled Game Changer with Ram Charan. Meanwhile, It is also claimed that Shruti Haasan is being considered as the third actress considering she sang the theme song of the film. However, Yash and Geethu are yet to react to the news.
Meanwhile, a source had revealed last month that Yash has already dived deep into the makingof the film.
“He has been closely involved in the creative process and works closely on multiple aspects. With Toxic, he is taking this a notch higher. Yash has meticulously put together the team for the film and is working closely with them, and the photos taken during recce with the team was one such instance,” the source said.
The insider added that the team will start filming soon. “The preparations are going on at a breakneck speed as they plan to start shooting very soon. Yash has completely immersed himself into preparation of the film to create the world of Toxic which aspires to strike a chord with audiences beyond boundaries,” the source said.
