John Cena Has This To Say On Dwayne Johnson And Vin Diesel's Fast And Furious Feud
John Cena acknowledged the feud between the Fast And Furious co-stars Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel, stating that both actors are alpha personalities.

John Cena has opened up about the rumours of the much-publicised feud between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson in 2016. Both Diesel and Johnson impressed audiences with their performance in the hit film franchise Fast And Furious. But in 2021, there was a verbal battle between the two Hollywood stars, leading to Johnson opting out of Fast And Furious 9. Presently, the matter has been settled and the former WWE star has decided to feature in the upcoming Fast and Furious 11. Meanwhile, John Cena, who debuted in the popular “Fast” family with F9 has revealed the reason behind the Diesel-Johnson dispute.

John Cena recently made an appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast, presented by People. During his interaction with host Dax Shepard, the latter wanted to know what really went wrong between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson. He called the duo a “rough pairing”, considering their beefed-up physique and aggression. Without denying the verbal spat, Cena’s honest reply was, “There are certain rumours about that. I can’t deny that. You have two very alpha, driven people. You get two, there can only be one.”

According to a report by Variety, Dwayne Johnson called Vin Diesel a “chicken shit” and “candy ass” co-star on Instagram in 2016. Although Johnson did not take anyone’s name, speculations started surging that he was referring to Diesel. In an interaction with Men’s Health, Diesel shared the “tough love” he offered to Johnson to generate a great performance out of him. This led to the tension between them.

Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel’s feud came to a full stop when Johnson’s Luke Hobbs made a special mid-credits appearance in the 2023 Louis Leterrier directorial Fast X.

Dwayne Johnson will be returning as Luke Hobbs to the upcoming Fast And Furious 11, which is touted to be the final segment of the Fast And Furious franchise. Directed by Louis Leterrier, the car action movie will premiere on April 4, 2025.
